I have been betting on sports for most of my adult life -- and I've been a die hard sports fan since I was 7 years old. As a professional economist, I use a variety of statistical and econometric models to support my picks. But ultimately, it's about knowing the teams, studying the match-ups, and taking advantage of errors in the bookmakers' lines. If there's a piece of information out there that will help me make better picks, I'm going to take advantage of it.
